A modern, fast-moving business comprising nine of the high street’s best-known and most exciting fashion brands.

Building on our populist foundations – BHS launched in Brixton during the roaring twenties with the draw that nothing cost more than a shilling – we’ve decided that whilst great value products are still top of most people’s list, a dash of contemporary cool only adds to our customer’s experience. That’s why, when you visit BHS these days, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the goods you’ve come to expect from BHS – fashion, homewares and lighting – are all still here, but brighter and better than ever.

Further trading store refit projects were undertaken in 2011 in Burton upon Trent and Cheltenham high street subsequent to our largest project in 2012 – the 13 week fit out of a new 35,000ft2 2 storey store in Hartlepool working with Markwick Architects which was also shortlisted in the Best Non-Food Design of the year category at the 2012 Retail Interiors Awards.

Tesla Motors

Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers in Silicon Valley who wanted to prove that electric cars could be better than gasoline-powered cars. With instant torque, incredible power, and zero emissions, Tesla’s products would be cars without compromise.

Tesla’s engineers first designed a powertrain for a sports car built around an AC induction motor, patented in 1888 by Nikola Tesla, the inventor who inspired the company’s name.

In 2012, Tesla launched Model S, the world’s first premium electric sedan. Built from the ground up to be 100 percent electric, Model S has redefined the very concept of a four-door car. With room for seven passengers and more than 64 cubic feet of storage, Model S provides the comfort and utility of a family sedan while achieving the acceleration of a sports car: 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds. Its flat battery pack is integrated into the chassis and sits below the occupant cabin, lending the car a low center of gravity that enables outstanding road holding and handling while driving 265 miles per charge.

Now with more than 50,000 vehicles on the road worldwide, Tesla is preparing to launch Model X, a crossover vehicle that enters volume production in 2015. Featuring exhilarating acceleration, falcon wing doors, and room for three rows of seating, Model X defies categorization.

Tesla owners enjoy the benefit of charging at home so they never have to visit a gas station or spend a cent on gasoline. For long distance journeys, Tesla’s Supercharger network provides convenient and free access to high speed charging, replenishing half a charge in as little as 20 minutes. Superchargers now connect popular routes in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Projects

We completed our first project for Tesla, their 3rd facility in the UK, in Knutsford in December 2014.

Lounge music in the background, a large store space, reminiscent of an American loft, brushed concrete floors, huge fans whirring in the ceiling and shelves all around the walls. This is the identikit of the new Tezenis stores. The look of Tezenis stores is cosmopolitan, collections are basic, young and “easy”, in continuous development, enhanced every week by new items, dedicated not only to women and men, but also to children.Nowadays there are more than 250 stores in Italy and more than 100 in other countries.

Projects

2007 saw Bridgford secure through competitive tender the fit out of a new lingerie store for Tezenis, their first UK store in the old ‘Shelleys Building’ on London’s Oxford Circus.

The 14 week project with a contract value of around £1m saw us adapt the listed façade and fit out 2 floors of sales space. This project was as much about logistics as the design, with limited egress and access on probably the busiest junction in the UK the timing of all deliveries was subject to meticulous planning.

Testimonial

Just a quick note to thank you for the standard of Deanshanger today.

I realise it hasn’t been the easiest of jobs with the issues with legal completion at the start, and the water etc. However, that hasn’t affected the quality of the store and I can say in all of the convenience stores I’ve delivered it was one of the best. Attention to detail was excellent, and albeit with a few very minor snags the store was excellent.

Look forward to delivering more stores like this with you in the future.

Toys R Us

Toys “R” Us is Britain’s and the World’s leading Family Leisure, Baby Care and Toy Megastore with stores in the UK and over 1500 stores worldwide in 33 countries. Toys “R” Us was founded in the UK in 1985 with the opening of 5 stores and we have grown rapidly through our new store openings in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Projects

We have been working with Toys R Us since 2007 and in this time have delivered a variety of projects from new stores such as Exeter, Birmingham & Colliers Wood to new concept hybrid stores in Bradford and Sheffield. More recently in 2012 we facilitated 6 fast track pop up stores in advance of the peak Christmas season.

Testimonials

As we discussed yesterday, the handover at Colliers Wood was the best…ever!

Mitchell, Mason and the entire team have done a simply fantastic job in delivering the new bench mark…the level gets higher and higher and quite how you’ll beat it I don’t know.

I appreciate that it was a team effort but if it weren’t for the conscientiousness of the likes of Mark, Andy and Hugh the decorators, Neil and Shawn the floor layers and not forgetting Mr Pepper and his team the “gloss” of handover wouldn’t be there.

This was probably the most challenging new store I’ve done since I’ve been at Toys R Us and not one person in your team including all of the sub contractors, failed to rise to the challenge. It would’ve been very easy to use the fire damage and mezzanine works as an excuse to deliver an average handover but I genuinely believe this was never considered by a single person that worked on site.

I was incredibly proud yesterday to give the front door key to the new store manager which was a nice reminder to me why I do this job.

I appreciate I’ve singled out a few names but this doesn’t detract from anything anyone else did on the project. Please make sure you pass on my thanks to everybody concerned.”
Iain Sutton – Project Manager – Toys R Us

Firstly apologies for not writing sooner….but Bradford was simply superb and even nearer to perfection than Sheffield!!! I was extremely proud to hand the front door key to the new store manager yesterday, it was the highest standard of handover I’ve ever been associated with since joining Toys R Us. You should be very proud of the team involved, they are all clearly very proud of the job they do.

Please ensure that you let all of the people involved, including the sub-contractors know how pleased I was with the standard of the store, especially Mason and Andy, with a special note to Mark the decorator, as the standard of decorating was far higher than anything else I’ve ever handed over to the retailers. The electrical and mechanical services were great as well.

Please accept my genuine thanks for such a superb job…..thank you.”
Iain Sutton – Project Manager – Toys R Us

Fantastic…..that’s the only way I can describe the standard of handover this morning, absolutely fantastic. The whole job is a credit to your business and I give you my most sincere thanks for delivering such a superb project. As I’ve said before, this really sets the standard for your next project, so Bradford better be very good as well!!

Please pass on my thanks to your team and all of the sub-contractors involved.”
Iain Sutton – Project Manager – Toys R Us

Firstly I would like to thank you all for the hard work and immense effort put in by you and your team to produce a fantastic handover yesterday (Exeter), I believe it was the best new store handover I’ve had at Toys R Us…so thank you and please make sure you let the team know. I received nothing but good comments from all involved. The high standard of handover makes the retailer’s job much easier as they don’t have to worry about matters relating to the building, only getting ready to sell toys!!”
Iain Sutton – Project Manager – Toys R Us

I would just like to express my most sincere thanks for the fantastic handover this morning.

It was certainly one of the very highest standards of handover we’ve experienced in recent years and is testament to you and Darren’s enthusiastic and dedicated approach to the project; you’ve now made a very long rod for your back!

Thanks once again and well done!”

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Virgin Megastores opened over 100 stores in the UK, and many others around the world.

The UK and Irish business underwent a management buy-out in September 2007 which resulted in the Managing Directors taking the company on as the largest independent entertainment retailer in the UK. Westfield

The Westfield Group has interests in and operates one of the world’s largest shopping centre portfolios. The global portfolio has 104 high quality regional shopping centres in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and Brazil. These shopping centres have strong positions in their local markets with geographic, retail and economic diversity providing a strong and consistent income stream. The centres are located in prime trade areas, anchored by long-term tenancies with major retailers and incorporating a wide cross-section of high-quality specialty retailers and national chain store operators.

Since entering the UK market in 2000, Westfield has opened three major shopping centre developments. The first, Westfield Derby, opened in 2007 and immediately catapulted the city 15 places up the retail rankings. The following year, Westfield opened the iconic Westfield London. In 2011, Westfield opened Westfield Stratford City, the prestigious gateway to the London 2012 Olympic Park and is Europe’s largest urban shopping centre.

Projects

We first became involved with Westfield at Derby in 2007 – we were appointed to work with them and to deliver 6 ‘Whiteboxes’ , these projects were to be fitted out for smaller local independent businesses who could not necessarily afford their own fit out, by choosing from a limited pallet the tenants could select their store fit (apart from loose furniture) and the unit leased as a whole. Other projects include minor landlord unit alterations at Merry Hill and Tunbridge Wells. In 2008 we were selected to design, develop and install a number of glazed shop fronts for the new Westfield London scheme ahead of tenant occupation and other miscellaneous facilitation and back of house fit out. Further in 2011 we were selected to undertake the 20 week phased adaptation of lifts and MSU’s at Guildford.

The Cinema looks fantastic – congratulations to you both and team. Bridgfords have also been a pleasure to work with.”
